Zinfandel Commissions
Pricing
Every time a character is to be drawn counts as a separate figure.
The price of a commission is based on the total number of figures. This price is also affected by the style of the drawing and, optionally, background elements.
Drawing Styles
I currently offer two styles:
- Rendered, which includes lineart, color and shading
- Sketched, which includes a single base color fill for each character.
Character Pricing
Price per figure drawn (USD) | Rendered | Sketched |
---|---|---|
Less than half of body | $40 | $25 |
Entire body | $75 | $40 |
Character Examples
- A 3-part expansion sequence featuring just 1 character, drawn from head to toe and fully rendered would be ($75 x 3 =) $225.
- A 2-part sequence, with 2 fully-drawn characters in each part,
is 4 figures total.
- As a sketch, this would total ($40 x 4 =) $160.
- Fully-rendered, this would cost ($75 x 4 =) $300.
- A single rendered drawing of a character’s upper-body or face would cost $40.
- Feel free to ask about what combinations would be most ideal for you!
Background Pricing
Simple and important background details can be added at no cost (like food/drink being eaten, a basic bench being sat on, etc.). Basic formatting, like cropping and text effects, are included in all commissions.
More complex scenes or background elements will require a tailored price quote.
Payment
Upfront, at least half of the total price must be paid via PayPal or Stripe (the service used is your choice). The remaining portion of the price must be paid within a week of the completed work.
- The client can cancel their commission anytime. After a sketch has been completed, only partial refunds can be offered.
- Any commissions I personally cancel will be issued a full refund immediately.
- If I do not deliver the completed artwork within 90 days of initial payment, should the client request, I will issue a full refund and cancel the commission immediately.
Terms and Conditions
- I will NOT accept any commission requests from anyone under 18. I will also not draw any characters, nor use images of characters as references, who are under 18.
- I may refuse, cancel, or offer mandatory revisions to any commissions.
- My work may not be redistributed anywhere without credit. Clients may post commissioned artwork anywhere, but its unlicensed commercial use is prohibited.
Contact
I can be reached by anyone via email at [email protected]. I am available for contact on Twitter and Discord.
Important Details to Provide
- The type of commission: i.e. a single scene, a sequence, a comic…
- The number of parts and figures to be drawn
- The desired drawing style
- Character details, including reference images, desired apparel and poses
- Background details, including reference images for detailed objects, if desired
Workflow
Every commission begins with a sketch. These will be roughly-lined drawings with single color fills. Once the client approves a sketch, either the commission ends or it is lined, colored and shaded (depending on style).
Commission status can be tracked via my public Trello board.
I can only accept a few major revisions per piece; hence, the more detail you include upfront, the better. After the sketch is approved, only small revisions can be accepted.
